The district’s Student, Family & Community Engagement team is hosting a free Ready for School event from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 22 at WBLAHS. A limited number of new backpacks and school supplies will be available along with free school vaccines and sports physicals, food, important district and community resources, and fun activities for the whole family!

As the Building Our Future construction projects come to fruition – with the Early Childhood and Transition Education spaces at Sunrise being finalized to welcome those programs in the fall – it is a meaningful time to pause and reflect on this transformation that has been a massive undertaking.

White Bear Lake Area School District - ISD 624 Logo

Minor changes to start and dismissal time changes for the district’s middle schools and high schools will be implemented in the fall of 2026-27. The changes will allow the district’s transportation system to run more efficiently and to avoid transportation-related delays and disruptions.

At the June School Board meeting, Associate Principal Jenni Sjosten shared an update on the district’s former Area Learning Center, which has been officially recognized by the Minnesota Department of Education as an Alternative Learning Program (ALP). As a program of White Bear Lake Area High School, this transition creates even stronger opportunities for collaboration with WBLAHS while deepening the program’s connection to the White Bear community.
